Tasting Notes: Fuerte Sol features a complex blend of Pennsylvania, Dominican Republic, and Nicaragua filler tobaccos, wrapped in a dark, oily, Mexican San Andrés wrapper and all harmonized by a Nicaraguan binder providing for notes of spicy cedar, cocoa, toasted nuts, oak, and citrus.

The new box-pressed cigar joins the La Aurora portfolio boasting a creamy and sweet smoke with medium to full-bodied strength.

Perseverancia

The second in the series of four it takes its inspiration from the effort required to maintain excellence for over 100 years, and captures the tenacity inherent in the León Family Values.

A testament to the León Family's unyielding commitment, Perseverancia features a rich Pennsylvania broadleaf wrapper, with an international profile of tobaccos ranging from Mexican San Andrés to Nicaragua to the DR which all honor the León Family's heritage while meeting the evolving tastes of mdoern cigar enthusiasts.

This was an attractive box-pressed robusto shaped cigar with a dark and oily wrapper that was smooth to the touch.  The pre-light nose was mild with slightly sweet earthy notes and stronger notes of hay and floral tones that came thorough in the cold-draw flavor.

The cigar was very firm in the hand yet had an effortless and smooth draw.  There was a full, rich aroma straight away that had a sweeter edge with big cocoa notes and peppery spices.  The aroma really stood out on this blend.  Full flavor from the first puff to the last with a well rounded, full body and mouthfeel.

It had full strength, which didn’t take long to come into play, but balanced well with the other characteristics of the cigar.  An excellent choice for after a meal or paired with a favorite drink.  Something to sit back with and enjoy, especially for fans of “strong” cigars with full flavors and aroma that will leave a lasting impression.
