E. León Jimenes Rum

In 1903 E. León Jimenes had the vision of providing the Dominican Republic with the highest quality cigars in its history. Since then, we have become masters in the value of time and aging, the art of mixing aromas and fflavors, and the commitment to excellence. Each step we have taken has been previously studied, following as our goal the search for perfection in all products we launch.

Today to honor his visionary spirit we are now launching an innovative portfolio of rum products in the U.S. under his name.

E. León Jimenes 1903

Guillermo León, the grandson of E. León Jimenes, tested more than 53 iterations of this rum before landing on the final product.

The drive for excellence is still alive within the family business, which is why we say 1903 Rum is an…

Uncompromising Rum, for those with Uncompromising Tastes

THE PROCESS

4 Still Column Distilation of guarapo (sugar cane juice) vs. molasses (only 10% of all rum is made using guarapo).

Aged Eight Years. The first 6.5 years are spent in ex-bourbon American white-oak barrels and the final 1.5 years in ex-Sherry casks provide for a unique, subtly sweet finish.

Naturally Aged. Vs. the Solera Method which blends rums of various ages and can claim the oldest age vs. the linear method more commonly used in American whiskeys and single malts.

  • NOSE

Delicate aromas of oak, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and citrus

  • Taste

Slightly sweet woody flavors & notes of caramel, dried fruits and chocolate orange peel

  • Finish

Clean, dry, and subtly sweet with notes of wood, spices, and toasted almonds

E. León Jimenes 110 Aniversario

E. León Jimenes Rum 110 Aniversario is the result of a personal project from our president Guillermo León to produce an ultra-premium rum that would complement the cigar smoking experience.

He believed that no stone should be left unturned in this project and that we would not stop until we would find that precious liquid. After many years, E. Leon Jimenes 110 Aniversario rum had its inception and perfected the process of distilling and aging the only two ingredients of sugar cane juice and distilled water.

The Process

5-still column distillation of Guarapo (Sugar Cane Juice) vs. Molasses (only 10% of all rum is made in this way).

Aged Ten Years. First eight years in American White Oak barrels give the rum most of its flavor, but the final two years in virgin European Oak Vessels

Naturally Aged. Vs. the Solera method which blends rums of various ages and can claim the oldest age vs. the linear method more commonly used in American whiskeys and Single Malts.

  • NOSE

Smoky Oak and toasted caramel with delicate aromas of vanilla and dried fruits.
